You Nuvi comes with a few stock MP3 files. They give you a taste of what your Nuvi can do but your wanting to add your own MP3 files. How do you do that?

Well, first you'll need to have a date cable that connects yoour Nuvi to yur PC. The cable has a USB plug on one end and a mini-USB plug on the other.

Connect the USB plug into your USB port on your PC. Next, plug the mini-USB plug into your Nuvi. If your Nuvi was off, it should turn on and boot. After a short while, you should see a Nuvi/PC icon appear on the screen of your Nuvi. This indicates that your Nuvi is now in "data mode".

In Windows, you may get a pop-up box that will allow you view files on your Nuvi. Close that window and double click on "My Computer" or "Computer". You should see your Nuvi in the directory along with a small icon next to it. Double click on the drive letter and you should see a folder named "MP3". Double click on that folder and you should see the MP3 files already contained on your Nuvi.

To add music files, just right-click on the music file, select copy and just paste them into the MP3 directory on your Nuvi. Make sure the files are in MP3 format.

When you are finished, make sure you SAFELY REMOVE your Nuvi drive from Windows BEFORE pulling out the data cable.

Your Nuvi will reboot and if you go to the MP3 player, you should now see the added music files on your Nuvi.
