Hi! I have a 360 and for the past few years it was running great. Today I turned it on, it found the sats and after afew minutes it lost them. Power-off, wait, power-on, acquisition, after 2-3 min lost again. If I just recycle the power without waiting it will not acquire the sats (it behaves like something is overheating and I have to wait for it to cool down).
Tried the maintenance menu, reinstall the firmware, no luck. The fact that I have sats for a few minutes leads me to believe that the antenna is working, at least for a while, and that is why I did not try the external antenna trick. Also, GPS S/W is 3.0, even when it looses the sats.
Any ideas?

Hi Mike,

The best way to fix this problem is to just replace the entire flip-up antennna/GPS assembly. The parts on this board are so small that it makes it very dificult to service unless you have the right tools. It's possible that an external antenna might work for you but if you want the problem completely resolved, replacing the assembly is the way to go. We have stock on this part if you would like for us to repair you unit. - Jim
