Hi, I have a Garmin Nuvi 3597LM with a cracked screen. I'm pretty sure it's just the touch screen that broke as the display is still perfect and everything works fine except I can't select items on the screen. There is one corner that if I touch when the unit starts to fall asleep it will wake back up if I touch it but only in that corner. Is there a way to get this fixed or what can I do to fix it? What do I do????

Hi Jed,

We have never worked on the Nuvi 35xx series, so we don't have a clear solution for you. We have replaced the touchscreens on the Nuvi 37xx series but it required replacing the entire LCD/touchscreen as they are both sealed as one piece. In addition, both were cemented into the front half of the case with epoxy, so we had to purchase a new front half of the Nuvi case, which contained the LCD & touchscreen. This was a couple years ago and the price then was $99 just for the part. If you can't find a shop that can repair it, you might just have to send it back to Garmin, who will exchange it for a refurbished model. Sorry we couldn't be of assistance to you.
