RCA 500 Series VHF / UHF Transmitter

The 500 Series VHF / UHF transmitter consists of the following assemblies:

  • Solid State x4 Multiplier Module (125 mW O/P)
  • Solid State Amplifier Module
  • Vacuum Tube RF Output Amplifier (8072 Tube)
  • Low Pass Filter
  • Quiet Channel (PL) Encoder Module (optional)

    All of these assemblies are mounted in a metal casting. The entire assembly is 5.25"H x 19"W and 4.25"D.
    In repeater applications, there are right angle end brackets that allow the transmitter to be mounted in
    a standard 19" rack. The transmitter TCXO (temperature controlled crystal oscillator) is physically located
    in the receiver unit.

    The Transmitter TCXO frequency is determined by the following formula:
    TCXO Frequency in MHz = Carrier Frequency in MHz / 12
