I have a 660 with a dead screen. Sliding a credit card across the top did get it to another screen but that's about it. I would get it fixed only if they can get a newer map to install. I have lifetime subsc. but a year or so ago the map update (horrible overnight process of installation)got an error that read not enough space. This is supposed to be a 2 gig unit and the map update was 1.7 gig. Garmin said to install on SD.

Where is the email address on the Sharcnet-usa site?? The quote link did not work. If I don't get this fixed I will buy another brand because I have not been thrilled with it hanging up on the return trip from Suffren, NY to CT every year even after map updates.

We are in the middle of a move. The quote page is disabled for that reason. It sounds like your touchscreen definitely needs to be replaced.

Yes, there is 2 GB of space on the internal flash drive. There is 4GB n the 670. However the operating system also uses that space.

Garmin was correct in telling you to use an SD card.

Garmin does not support this model anymore. Let us know if you are still interested in having the unit repaired.
