my car charger is no longer sending power to the unit. The green light is on, so I don't beleive it is a blown fuse. The AC charger works fine. I read the charger info on your website and browsed this forum for similar reported problems, but could not find any posts addressing my problem. If the AC charger works, can I assume that the problem is not with the mini usb port on the unit?
Thanks in advance for your advice.

If your unit works fine with the AC charger but not the DC car charger, then I would suspect a bad DC car charger. The reason is, that the common point between both chargers is the mini-USB port and if the AC charger works when plugged into the mini-USB port, then the port has to be good.

Don't assume that because the green light is on, that the voltage is correct or that the voltage is actually present at the mini-USB plug. You could have a bad mini-USB plug on the DC car charger or a broken wire in the cable.

There is a fuse in the tip of the charger that unscrews. It is spring loaded, so if you decide to unscrew it to check the fuse, unscrew it so that the parts shoot into your hand and not across the room. Doubtful this is the problem because if it was, nothing would light up on your charger.

The AC charger converts 110VAC to +5VDC.
The DC charger converts +12VDC to +5VDC.

It's the +5VDC that is available at the mini-USB plug to power your unit.

I suspect there is no voltage getting to the DC car charger's mini-USB plug. We sell these chargers.

Our P/N is: ACC-DC-CHGR-2xx(W) / 3xx
